Adele Beardsmore, is an English violin maker and repairer who graduated from the Newark School of Violin Making in 1987 and was awarded the Ralph Oakden Cup for outstanding achievement. She worked in various locations in England and The Netherlands before moving to Australia in 1994. Adele Beardsmore has over twenty years experience in violin making and restoration and is now regarded as one of the finest makers of new instruments in Australia. She is currently making violins and cellos to order and welcomes commissions. However, you can also contact her to register an expression of interest if you prefer - when she finishes an uncommissioned instrument she will let you know, and you can take the instrument out on trial with an option to purchase it.

This violin, in 'reproduction style' was made in Adelaide by J.W. Robinson in 2007 (number 223). It is in new condition. The back/sides and neck are made from American 'big leaf' maple and the top is made from 'port orford' spruce. The purfling, made by the maker is from pear wood (centre) and fibre.The body, f holes and back of the head, with scribed in centre line, is a personal model.
