There have been a number of cases recently of sellers receiving fraudulent emails from potential scammers. Please use caution when responding to any suspicious enquiries. If in doubt, request full identification details (name, address and phone number) to confirm the buyer's identity. Do not accept or arrange any online payments (such as Paypal or Western Union) as these can be manipulated to your disadvantage. Due to these ongoing security concerns and the limited number of advertisements placed over the last two years, the creators of Musicale have decided to close down this site in March 2012. As of 21/10/2011 no further paid advertisements are being accepted.

American violin, made in 1923
Price: $8,500 negotiable

ID MUS-90
Created 9 Feb 2010
Description This violin was made by William Wilkanowski in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1923. It is signed and dated by the maker internally on the top block. The back and sides are made from american 'big leaf' maple. Wilkanowski, who was born in Poland in 1886, migrated to the U.S. He was a very prolific maker, said to have made over 5,000 instruments; his first when he was only 9 years old. This instrument is in excellent condition. I removed the top and fitted a new bassbar and it has a big, dark sound.
